TRIP TO TEREZIN
Terezin was founded at the end of the 18th century by Emperor Joseph II, originally as an ingenious system of military fortresses for the protection of the Bohemian Kingdom. During World War II, in 1940, the Gestapo took control of Terezin, and the town was turned into a Jewish ghetto. The Nazis tried to make it look from the outside as a model Jewish settlement, but in reality it was a concentration camp. Guide service and entrance fees included.
