TRIP TO KUTNÁ HORA
Kutná Hora, situated about 65 km out of Prague, ows its origin to the silver mines, the existence of which can be traced back to the first part of the 13th century. It was next to Prague the most important town in Bohemia, having become favourite temporary residence of several Czech kings and also a mint for the "Prague Penny" ("Groš"). Kutná Hora was declared a world heritage, and since 1995 has been protected by UNESCO.
